A to Z- Authentic Inspiration: Daisies

Things that inspire me from A to Z:  Daisies

This beautiful flower has been my favorite since I can remember.  When I was in junior high I had a dark blue bedspread with white daisies on it.  I loved it!  It was one of my very favorite bedspreads ever.  As I have gotten older I have come to love Gerbera Daisies the most.

I'm not sure what it is about them that I love so much.  To me they scream adventure, fun, and joy.  When I look at a daisy I can't help but smile.  I can't help but allow my true self to overflow.

Who would think that a simple flower could be the key to powering through a rough day, or forgetting a broken heart?

I feel like I have had a lot of messy brokenness in life.  The kind that could have truly made me want to give up, but life....especially the life I see in these flowers brings me to recognizing that there is more then just myself.  There is something so much greater then me at work.

Life can get so messy at times.  We can get stuck in our own heads.  We can get lost in the ugliness and destruction that is all around us.  But there is hope.  There is so much more out there.

Daisies inspire me, their simple beauty tells me that even in the midst of mess there is hope and and growth in the smallest things.

Flowers... are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1844

Daisies make me happy, too. They're so cheerful and simply beautiful. They're not hoity-toity or high maintenance. My wedding bouquet was white daises. :-)

I love the flower in its form and color, and also as a name -- Daisy, such an optimistic, lovely name. Yes, life is messy. There is a lot of hope out there, a lot of beauty, as in the flower you show. We just have to keep our heads up and keep going. Great post, Tawnya. Thank you.

Such a cheerful flower. I need to find a daisy that does well in hot temperatures. My shasta died.

It's nice how such a simple flower can brighten a day. Just goes to show how the ordinary and simple are enough, really.

I love flowers, period. Some lovely photos - especially of the lawn daisies, something I don't see as much of in upstate New York as in other places. Gerbena's don't see to do that well here; they are more a gift plant. But there are lots of others to choose from. Thank you for visiting my blog.

Yes, life can get very messy at times. So we are fortunate there are so many pretty and neat things here to accompany us, like flowers.
