A to Z- Authentic Inspiration: Air #atozchallenge
Air inspires me. When I step outside on a cool, crisp day and breathe in deeply I know that I am alive and I can do just about anything I set my mind to. Air is one of those things that I take for granted. I just know that it will always be there. It is this invisible force in the world that allows me to be alive. I see it moving the branches of trees. I hear it as it blows the wind chimes. I smell it in the various seasons that come. I notice it when it moves. I notice it when I am still and quiet. I notice it, when I take a moment to open my eyes and allow what I am seeing, hearing, smelling, and touching to truly grab a hold of me. I notice it when I allow myself to be inspired. I notice it when I have stopped being so busy with going from here to there.
Inspiration happens when I take moments in the day to notice the air around me. To feel it and breathe it in. I get inspired to live life to the fullest. I get inspired to go and conquer those dreams. I get inspired to be the person that I am supposed to be.
A writer, a teacher, a dreamer, a planner. These are the dreams that I want to conquer. A creator, a traveler, a leader, a mover. These are the dreams that I realize I still have plenty of time to complete. All it takes is me taking a moment to be inspired and fulfill those dreams.
Does air inspire you? Have you stopped to notice the air, notice it rustling the leaves? What dreams/goals have you put off because you were too busy to stop, and recognize the inspiration that you can find just by noticing the air?
“Close your eyes and turn your face into the wind.
Feel it sweep along your skin in an invisible ocean of exultation.
Suddenly, you know you are alive.”

What a lovely post! I enjoy air in the manner you described but there are two other ways--meditation when I notice only the in and out movements my lungs make as they draw in air and release it. Also, sometimes I have difficulty breathing. In short, I really appreciate air.
I sometimes consider how air is moving through something- through someone's hair, through a curtain, through branches- to describe a scene in my writing.
I also thought this a most beautiful post thank you! Just last evening I gave a talk on something and said about how the changing seasons also changes in the air which we can't fail to notice. I love how you note the senses of air -
Wow! What a lovely post. Air itself doesn't really inspire me but natural beauty does, and air is definitely a part of that equation.

I do notice the air, particularly when it just starts turning cooler at the end of the summer. I always thought the first burst of cold air that comes at the end of summer was the "school breeze," sort of changing your thinking from the lazy days behind you to the school days ahead.

Thanks everyone for stopping by!!! I really appreciate it!
Thanks for writing about air and the inspiration you receive by being aware of it. I had an experience with the wind rustling leaves in a tree on a day of no breeze, wondering what it meant, and then my future husband walked into my life. That was air inspiring both of us!
